Start Point Lighthouse – built in 1836 and providing a welcome way-mark for returning sailors to the South West, guided tours take you to the top of the tower to be told stories about storms, shipwrecks and lighthouse living; every hour, on the hour.

Britannia Royal Naval College Afternoon guided walking tour of this working military establishment lasting 2.25 hours and explaining the history, role and relevance of the building and the naval training conducted here today.

Totnes Heritage Walk. Guide Kathy Alexander conducts a walking tour around the town through time and place, from ancient origins to the modern culture, lasting around an hour and a half and taking in the best of the town’s heritage en route; meet outside The Bistro by the bridge – Waterside Bistro, The Plains, Totnes, TQ9 5YS, 10:30am, Adult £5, Child £3

Deer Park Guided Walks – learn more about the 700-year-old story of the Deer Park, about the people who lived here, the landscape, the deer themselves and the wildlife; meet by the cinema box office entrance.

The Birth of the Silver Screen – art historian and former film publicist leads a three-session study day offering explanations as to how moving pictures were first invented and how Hollywood became the centre of the film industry; mid-morning light refreshments included. Tues 24th – Sat 28th Exhibition: Self Portrait. All are invited to make use of imagery and techniques that in some creative way symbolises their self-identity depicting their outward appearance or representing themselves metaphorically and put the results on display here.
